Dr. Lovegrove started utilizing Prolotherapy in 1999 after his own chronic neck pain was cured from two sessions of prolotherapy. He had suffered with chronic headaches with associated dizziness (Barre-Lieou Syndrome) for six months and saw multiple specialists without any improvement. Dr. Lovegrove was so inspired from this healing that he learned the art of prolotherapy and has provided it in his practice since 1999. Dr. Lovegrove worked with Dr. Ross Hauser at Beulah Land Clinic in 2003 to improve his research in prolotherapy at St. Louis University. Given Dr. Lovegrove’s over 90% success rate to achieve pain and functional goals with his patients, his expertise has helped thousands of chronic pain suffers.
Dr. Lovegrove believes that holistic medicine should be integrated with conventional medicine in a scientifically based model to achieve the best results for patients. He addresses a patient’s complaints to find the root cause and customize a regimen to fix it long term as oppose to using only traditional medication that just suppress symptoms. Dr. Lovegrove utilizes orthomolecular and genetic laboratory testing to customize a regimen for patients based on their unique body’s chemistry, imbalances, and deficiencies. In addition to utilizing traditional prescriptions, some of his treatment recommendations may include nutraceuticals, herbs, vitamins, Bioidentical hormones, dietary or nutritional changes, customized stretching and exercises, a detoxification plan, spinal analysis, osteopathic assessment, lifestyle or behavior modification, life coaching, mind-body techniques and stress response management.
