Originally from Canada, Dr Forwell came to Seattle to study naturopathic medicine at Bastyr University, graduated in 1992, and has been practicing medicine in the Emerald City ever since. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia, and has both a Bachelor's in Health Science and a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr.

She quips that she will address any condition that walks in the door, but her specialty areas are that of women's medicine, hormonal imbalances, gastro-intestinal disorders, injury and pain management. She has been using various injection techniques commencing with neural therapy and trigger point injection therapy, since the outset. She has mentored with Dietrich Klinghardt and Rick Marinelli studying neural and regenerative injection therapies and has studied mesotherapy in France. She is a former member of the board of both the American and Washington Associations of Naturopathic Physicians, is a Diplomate with the American Academy of Pain Management and is a current NATI board member and adjunct faculty teaching prolotherapy and other therapeutic modalities.
