Dr. Dennis E.
Minotti II, D.O. is
specialty trained in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine,
Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and Medical
Acupuncture. His primary focus is the integration of the
wisdom of ancient medicine with modern science in the
improvement of the whole body wellness of his patients.
Specifically, his expertise lies in the integration of
Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, acupuncture,
prolotherapy, biopuncture, and trigger point injections
in the treatment of problems related to the
musculoskeletal system.

Treatments offered:
•Osteopathic Manipulation (OMM)
Osteopathic Manipulation is a form of hands on treatment
practiced by Osteopathic physicians to improve the
function and structure of the muscles, bones, and
ligaments. Osteopathic Medicine recognizes that the
improved function of the musculoskeletal system can
bring improved health to the whole body through its
associated effects on the nervous, circulatory and
immune systems.
•Medical Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a 2500 year old method of encouraging the
body to promote natural healing and improve functioning.
The modern scientific explanation is that stimulating
specific points in the body triggers the nervous system
to release chemicals in the muscles, spinal cord, and
brain that either change the experience of pain or
trigger the release of other chemicals and hormones
which influence the body’s own internal regulating
system.
•Cranial Osteopathy
Cranial Osteopathy is a gentle, yet extremely effective
therapy that can be used in acutely painful or delicate
conditions for people of all ages. A combination of
physical and emotional trauma can shock parts of the
body. If it is unable to dissipate the shock, the
tissues contract as if they were trying to wrap around
the problem. Such contractions that have been stored in
the body will restrict normal motion and compromise
function.
•Trigger Point Injections
Trigger point injections are injections of local
anesthetic (numbing) medication, saline, and/or
cortisone into the trigger point(s). The basis for a
trigger point Injection is to relax the area of intense
muscle spasm. By relaxing the muscle spasm, blood flow
to the area is improved, thus allowing the washout of
irritating metabolites.
•Prolotherapy
Prolotherapy is a technique for strengthening ligaments
without surgery. Ligaments may stretch and become lax
from injury or wear, resulting in pain and instability.
The ligament is injected with natural substances to
deliberately cause inflammation. The ligament responds
by laying down collagen tissue which develops gradually
into mature ligament creating a more stable joint.
•Biopuncture
In Biopuncture, small doses of products are injected
under the skin in order to stimulate the natural healing
processes. These ultra-low doses “wake up” mechanisms of
your natural immune system to produce the proper
reactions to regain natural healing. So, the healing
effect comes from inside your body, not from the
products themselves as in traditional medicines that
need to be taken repeatedly because their effects wear
off. |
