Dr. Meekins grew up in
Trenton, New Jersey. He attended Rutgers University in
New Brunswick, New Jersey. After receiving his M.D. from
the MCP_Hahnemnann School of Medicine in Philadelphia,
Pa, he completed his Internal Medicine internship at the
University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, New
Jersey, and his Anesthesiology residency at the State
University of New York.
He has had extensive training in Advanced Spinal
Intervention and Pain Management. He is a member of
numerous professional organizations, including the
American Academy of Pain Management, the American
Society of Interventional Pain Management Physicians,
the American College of Sports Medicine and The American
College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He
has been guest lecturer for The Midsouth Workmens
Compensation Society and gives seminar biannully to area
physicians.
Dr. Meekins started Advanced Pain Treatment Centers in
2009 and treated thousands of patients each year before
progressing to Regenerative Orthopedics and Non-surgical
spinal decompression techniques. His unique background
as an interventional spine physician, allows him to
access and treat herniated discs without the need
for surgery. Dr. Meekins is a Certified Medical Review
Officer and dedicates 50% of his practice time to
treating work related spine injuries.
