Kent Pomeroy grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and received his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University, and his medical degree from the University of Utah, College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. 

He is specialty certified by both the American Board of Physical Medicine and the American Board of Pain Medicine. He received his diploma from the British Institute of Homeopathy.

Dr. Pomeroy has devoted many years to the practice of physical medicine and pain rehabilitation, based on the fundamental belief that a physician's role is one of helping the patient's body to cure itself. This orientation has led naturally to his extensive studies in Prolotherapy.He was introduced to Prolotherapy by Dr. G. A. Hemwall in 1977.  Since that time he has developed his practice to a point where 95% of his patients come to him for Prolotherapy.  He has become a national educator of other physicians for this procedure.

Although Dr. Pomeroy is trained in traditional medicine, he believes much of the traditional approach is based on the use of drugs to artificially suppress the symptoms. Because these methods may not identify and solve the cause of patient's medical problems, the patient frequently becomes dependant on their physician, requiring extended medical treatments and medications. Prolotherapy allows patients to become independent of drugs and the need for extensive medical treatments.

His patients have found him to be a very caring and sensitive physician. Dr. Pomeroy listens to what they have to say, and makes them a partner in the healing process.
